About this policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is for Reventec Limited to outline the ways in which we will prevent pollution and comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and other environmental requirements.

Goals

Reventec Limited endeavour to consider sustainability wherever possible in our office and manufacturing facility:

  • Energy Efficiency: Implement measures to reduce energy consumption and promote the use of renewable energy sources where feasible.
  • Waste Reduction: Develop and implement strategies to minimize waste generation, increase recycling efforts, and responsibly dispose of any unavoidable waste.
  • Carbon Reduction: Set targets to monitor and reduce our carbon footprint, exploring opportunities for carbon offsetting where appropriate.
  • Sustainable Procurement: Source environmentally friendly products and materials, giving preference to suppliers with strong environmental credentials.
  • Biodiversity Conservation: Where applicable, Reventec will contribute to local biodiversity conservation efforts and engage in practices that protect natural habitats.
  • Environmental Awareness: We will foster environmental awareness among our employees through training programs and communication initiatives to ensure their active participation in our environmental initiatives.
  • Supply Chain Responsibility: Reventec will work collaboratively with our suppliers and partners to encourage environmentally responsible practices within the supply chain.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees of Reventec Limited including contractors and casual staff.

Responsibility

All employees are encouraged to:

  • Minimise the waste generated through their daily activities wherever possible
  • Switch off machinery, equipment, electronics etc when not in use.
  • Make use of the recycling systems in place in the office and workshop.
  • Report any water leaks found

Managers have a responsibility to:

  • Ensure that the office and workshop are as environmentally friendly as possible.
  • Ensure that systems are in place for safe disposal of waste and hazardous materials.
  • Ensure that waste is being handled and disposed of legally
  • Provide employees with the means and equipment to carry out their activities in an environmentally safe manner.

Communication

Reventec Limited will ensure that:

  • All employees receive a copy of this policy during the induction process
  • This policy can be easily accessed by all members of the organisation.
  • Employees are informed when a particular activity aligns with this policy.
  • Employees are empowered to actively contribute and provide feedback to this policy.
  • Employees are notified of all changes to this policy.

Monitoring and Reviewing

Reventec Limited will review this policy six months after implementation and annually thereafter.

Effectiveness of the policy will be assessed through:

  • Feedback from workers and management
  • Review of the policy by management and committee to determine if objectives have been met and to identify barriers and enablers to ongoing policy implantation.
