Description

LSM500-IP69K

Designed for direct installation within defence ground vehicles coolant systems, the LSM500-IP69K is a highly accurate coolant level sensor engineered specifically for military applications. Featuring stainless steel construction and with an ingress protection rating of IP69K, the LSM500-IP69K is built for durability in high shock and vibration environments.

Reventec’s solid-state sensors provide powerful vehicle health monitoring and analysis of critical components to offer predictive vehicle maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime and unexpected breakdowns in combat zones. Delivering continuous, real-time readings for ultimate vehicle deployability and operational readiness, the LSM500-IP69K features an SAE 5-bolt mounting pattern for secure fitment to the exterior of coolant tanks. The liquid level sensors are manufactured to length for easy installation and are available in custom sizes up to 700mm long.

Boasting advanced accuracies of up to ±0.5%, the LSM500-IP69K offers analog 0-5V, CAN or both outputs directly from the coolant level sensor as integrated electronics within the sensor head, allowing for extremely accurate readings without the need for external CPU processing. Both the probe and electronics have a high operating temperature of -40°C to +125°C, with -55°C to +150°C temperature variants available. Certification to MIL STD 461G and RCTA DO160F available.

As a solid-state instrument, the LSM500-IP69K has no moving parts allowing for a reduction to the risk of mechanical wear. The mounting plate can be fitted at any angle, included inverted, to the exterior of the coolant reservoir whilst continuing to deliver precise readings. As the LSM500-IP69K is a part of Reventec’s capacitive liquid level sensing technology, this device is compatible with a wide variety of liquids and can be calibrated, upon request, in a variety of fuel, oil, water and coolant fluids.

The LSM500-IP69K is provided with flying lead, as standard, for direct integration into vehicles’ electrical system. All of Reventec’s vehicle health monitoring sensors can be customised to fit a range of connector types dependent on requirement, including MIL-DTL-38999 connectors.
