Description

Motorsport Low Pressure Actuator Linear Position Sensor (DX-016-02)

Developed for a motorsport application requiring precision measurement of a low pressure actuator, the DX-016-02 is ideally suited for competitive motorsport series that require lightweight, solid-state measurement devices that continuously capture the position of the magnet target relative to the sensor in excess of 5,000 times per second.

Measurement through 20mm air gaps from sensor to target is achievable, as well as through plastics, aluminium or road debris. As a solid-state instrument with no moving parts, it is ideal for use in harsh environments where vibration, heat and liquids are present. The device is thermally stable across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to +302°F).

Options include:

  • Custom housing to fit the intended application’s spatial constraints.
  • Multichannel redundancy available for reliability and repeatability.
  • Variety of connector interfaces to choose from.
  • Analog or CAN outputs without the need for external CPU processing.
