Reventec becomes Carbon Neutral
Reventec has been certified as a carbon neutral company. Over the past few months our team has been working on our plan to measure, reduce and offset our carbon footprint. We have been collecting our emissions data for analysis and collaborating with Carbon Neutral Britain™ to devise a suitable plan to reduce and offset our carbon footprint.
Measuring our carbon footprint
At Reventec, we have collected our emissions data across these 3 main areas:
- Direct Emissions refers to emissions from controlled process equipment and company vehicles.
- Indirect Energy Emissions are generated from the energy and electricity that we consume.
- Other Indirect Emissions covers employee commuting, business travel, travel accomodation etc.
How are we reducing our carbon footprint?
By offsetting our carbon footprint through a number of Woodland Fund’s organised by Carbon Neutral Britain™, we are able to demonstrate our sustainable business practices to our customers and our continued commitment towards our environmental impact. We are currently supporting these sustainable projects:
- Project 1070 – Marston Vale Forest Creation, England
- Project 1164 – Improved Biodiversity & Mixed Reforestation, Costa Rica
- Project 1197 – Reforestation on Degraded Land, Uruguay
- Project 2154 – Blue Carbon Mangrove Restoration, Pakistan
