Hydraulic Actuator Linear Position Sensor (FU-060-01)

The hydraulic actuator linear position sensor is a non-contact, programmable linear position sensor suitable for a variety of linear actuator applications.

Reventec’s Quantum TMR technology is capable of sensing through up to 40mm air gaps and through up to 20mm of non-ferrous material such as stainless steel and aluminium, depending on the magnet target. This sensor has a 12mm measurement range which can be reconfigured to measure across 0-20mm. As a solid-state device with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +150°C, the sensor is extremely reliable and designed to endure tough environments. Benefits from being non-contact which reduces mechanical wear and predictive maintenance.

The Hydraulic Actuator Linear Position Sensor boasts continuous measurement with a rapid update rate of 5kHz allowing devices to capture the position of the magnet target relative to the sensor in excess of 5,000 times per second. Boasting advanced accuracies of ±0.5% of reading, the sensor delivers a configurable 0.25V – 4.75V analog output with integrated CPU’s eliminating the need for additional external processing.

The hydraulic actuator linear position sensor shown here fits securely with M4 fasteners on to the end of the hydraulic system and measures the distance from a magnet target located within the hydraulic piston that moves with the plunger. As this technology is highly customisable, the shape and size of each linear position sensor is adapted to fit the spatial constraints and measurement requirements of each intended application, ensuring it is custom built in any shape, size, and in a variety of construction materials with cable and connector options. Supplied with a flying lead and factory calibrated to customers specific measurement path and range to ensure simple plug and play installation.
