Quantum TMR 180° Arc Position Sensor (LU-010-03)

The Quantum TMR 180° Arc Position Sensor is a non-contact, solid-state position sensor custom-built for a marine outboard measuring the angular movement of the steering head. With advanced accuracies of ±0.5% of reading, powerful processing technology is packaged in a compact sensor that performs well across the entire -40°C to +150°C operating temperature range.

The arc position sensor allows for easier maintenance and sensor interchangeability. With an IP67 rating, the device is resistant to shock and highly tolerant to vibration making it ideal for vehicles operating in extreme environments.

An integrated CPU located within the hard anodised aluminium sensor housing creates a ratiometric analog 0-5 voltage output for easy implementation into the vehicle. Leveraging the latest advancements in Tunnelling Magnetoresistance sensing, Reventec’s state-of-the-art Quantum TMR technology offers superior accuracy compared to Hall Effect sensors and provides reliable readings across magnetic field strength fluctuations. The arc position sensor benefits from real-time measurement with a rapid update rate of 5kHz, enabling engineers to extract detailed data for analysis. The solid-state design eliminates the need for regular maintenance and the non-contact nature of the technology increases the products lifespan by eliminating mechanical wear.

The 180° Arc Position Sensor is supplied with flying lead for direct integration to vehicle platforms and is delivered factory calibrated to a customers specific measurement path. Reventec’s Quantum TMR technology is highly customisable with each arc position sensor designed to fit an intended, customer-specific application and the corresponding spatial constraints, ensuring it is custom built in any shape, size, and in a variety of construction materials with cable and connector options.
