Description

Quantum TMR™ 360° Triple Channel Rotary Position Sensor with a split (Y) cable (JD-030-01)

The 360° Triple Channel Rotary Position sensor employs Reventec’s industry-leading Quantum TMR™ technology for non-contacting, solid-state position measurement.

Originally designed for the extreme conditions of competitive motorsport, the 360° Triple Channel Rotary Position sensor is well-suited for harsh environments requiring up to 359 degrees of measurement. The Y cabled sensor delivers real-time position measurement across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +150°C by detecting the position of the supplied magnet relative to the sensor.

Engineered as a solid-state, non-contact alternative to potentiometers, the device produces exceptional linearity across the 0° to 359° sensing range. With sensitivities of up to 182mV per degree, the triple channel device is extremely accurate and provides multichannel redundancy for reliability and repeatability.

Boasting advanced accuracies of ±0.5% of reading, the sensor is ideal for pedal applications where independent multi-channel functionality is required, either through regulation or desirability. The lightweight, vibration-tolerant sensor is suitable for specialist applications that require an instrument with an IP rating of IP67.

Integrated CPU’s located within the durable sensor housing create 3 x independent analogue voltage outputs for easy implementation into your project. Benefits of the sensor includes a reduction in operational downtime of machinery by providing real-time measurement of component movements.

Reventec’s Quantum TMR™ technology offers high performance and dependability. As one of the sensors in our Quantum TMR™ range, the 360° Triple Channel Rotary Position Sensor with a singular split (Y) cable utilises a modular design. • Variety of connector interfaces to choose from.
  • Custom housing options to fit your application.
  • Analogue or CAN outputs without the need for external CPU processing.

Quantum TMR™ Programmable Sensors

The Triple Channel Rotary Position sensor with split cable is a product from our Quantum TMR range of magnetic position sensors. Our Quantum TMR range offers powerful precision measurement of linear, angular and rotary component movement positioning through non-contact Tunnelling MagnetoResistive (TMR) technology whilst leveraging quantum physics equations. Legacy technologies can’t achieve this level of accuracy or reliability and all of our sensors are factory-calibrated to a user’s specifications. We can supply a free GUI, should customers wish to programme their sensors in the field.

Applications:

The Quantum TMR 360° Rotary Position Sensor is a lightweight and reliable non-contact position sensor ideal for the Off-Highway Vehicles, Motorsport, Defence, UAV, Industrial, Automotive, Rail and Maritime industries.
